Years ago, probably 4 years ago, I was asked to take some baby photos of Corey and Ellie’s brand new, never been used before baby, Mia. She was so small and fragile, having just spent 9 months in solitary confinement, and I wondered, “how the hell am I going to photograph a new born?… I’ve never done this before!”
I set up a couple of speedlights and some umbrellas because I wanted to diffuse the light a bit… I didn’t want to blind Mia, and went about taking some photos. Corey and Ellie are some of my closest friends in the world (and the universe!) and it was an honour to be entrusted to photograph and be a part of such a special time in their lives.
Mia did a great job of being a baby, and she can look back at these photos when she grows up and think, “Man, I don’t remember any of this!”
