I met Clara and David after they got in touch with me via Gumtree (one of my many ways I reach out to customers).
They are about to move to Dubai but wanted to get married just before they left and needed a photographer quick! Lucky I was available and met them at a cool coffee shop in town to discuss the details.
Their wedding would be intimate… just them… no guests. This was great as it made my life easier as all i had to do was concentrate on them and produce lasting photos for them to enjoy and share!
I met them at a little marriage registry and after me, and their taxi driver signed as witnesses, they were married!
We headed to a little park across the road to start the photo session, making our way to the middle of one of the busiest roads in Adelaide then on to Veale Gardens where they lived near by.
I had scouted this place earlier to find some great places to shoot and found that everywhere you looked, there were roses in bloom and beautiful old trees everywhere. There wasn’t a bad spot at all.
I had chosen a few special places and also found some while we were there, but overall, i was really happy with how the photos turned out.
I had my off camera flash again and it performed reliably and perfectly each time but I will upgrade at a later date to provide even more power. My FujiFilm X100F still produces excellent photos and even though its slow and awkward to change the lens adaptors, I find myself sticking to a focal length and shooting from there. I will upgrade to an X Pro 2 and a couple of lenses to add to this set-up, but for now, i’m getting everything I want from this small, lightweight set-up.
Clara and David are so nice and put up with me with my directing and shooting for a couple of hours. I think their patience paid off.
Thanks Clara and David for reaching out to me and sharing this beautifully intimate wedding with you! I wish you love and happiness in your new life in Dubai!
